Dialogue Society Sheffield Branch would like to take this opportunity to cordially invite you to our annual Christmas Dinner on Sunday, the 3rd December 2023. The doors will open at 15:00 and we will make a start to the event at 15:30. We aim at finishing no later than 18:00 hrs.
The Dialogue Society believes in dialogue between members of different cultures and religions and as such would like to bring those members of the society together for a Christmas event. Knowing how important the season of Christmas is in British society as a whole, but especially within the Christian faith, we wanted to mark this time of celebration by inviting you to this special event. This invitation is open to all our friends, whatever their traditions and understandings of Christmas.
We will serve a variety of homemade Turkish dishes which will be hygienically prepared, as usual. The event will involve speeches from distinguished guest speakers, music, and fun games. Our purpose is to feel and share the spirit and warmth of this special time of year in person in a room which will be full of warm conversations between many people who have missed or are yet to meet each other.
We will also have a prize draw where every attendee will be given a number at the entrance and we will draw random numbers to find a few lucky ones. It is also important to note that taking part in the games and competitions will completely be on a voluntary basis. You are more than welcome not to take part and just watch if that is what you wish to do.
We are looking forward to your response. Due to limited venue space, we politely encourage you to reserve your place. Therefore, please kindly reply to confirm your attendance by the 20th November. Your presence at the event will be an absolute honour for us. Please let us know how many adults and children you are attending with, alongside with your dietary requirements in your confirmation email.
