| Are you searching for information about your family background, or interested in the history of this minority community, or looking for something to do in central Sheffield? The British Jewish community’s presence might be more obvious in larger urban places like London and Manchester but smaller cities also have rich histories of Jewish migration and influence. These histories are often uncovered in archive collections and can help to remind a city’s residents and current community that those stories exist and of their legacy through to today. |
 Our latest display: Records of Jewish Life in Sheffield 1849 – 1976 showcases the “Sheffield Jewish Archives”. It features photos, correspondence, minute books, pamphlets and even a set of mausoleum keys! It runs from now until 10th August on the first floor of Sheffield Central Library.
